FISHING ON ELECTION DAY 2006
 |
After coming home from work and voting Republican, I took the boys for some late
afternoon fishing, taking first strike with this largemouth bass.
I got him on a YUM mega tube. |
 |
Mark, Jeb and Sam used ultralight rods matched with pieces of Berkley
GULP earthworms and tiny, red-colored mosquito hooks, catching about
20 bluegill each. |
 |
Jeb went back to tube baits and landed a nice bass. |
 |
After a quick photo, Mr. Bass went back into the water to be caught
again another day. |
 |
Mark slapped Jeb on the back of the neck with a bluegill, and in this
photo Jeb is about to field tackle Mark. Mark is running with the fish
still on the line and pole. The bluegill made it back into the water safely. |
 |
I caught four bass on the day, two on a YUM mega tube and two on
a Senko worm. Fish were hitting the surface as the sun was getting low,
and I would have switched to topwater, but we had to take Jeb's friend
Sam home for dinner. |
 |
Sam and Jeb end the day with a final fish catch each.
