Dan took first strike using a white spinnerbait. |
 |
A few minutes later Dan struck again. |
 |
Michelle in our boat takes first fish, but
really only about 1/10 of a fish.
We seriously considered using this bluegill as live-bait for largemouth bass. |
 |
I caught this small bass on a wacky-rigged
Senko. |
 |
Either Dan is pleading for divine intervention
or he if trying to fish his
lure out of a tree. |
 |
Patti may have had the best fish of the day
but lost it at the boat.
We saw lots of aster in flower along the
banks and a patch of wild ageratum
(purple mistflower), cardinal flower and
jewelweed in flower in
a seep area.
We saw a bald eagle, killdeer, mallards, egret, green and blue
heron too.
I think the osprey may be gone already?

 |
The gentleman that Dan is, he helped Patti
fetch a lure that was embedded
in wood at the edge of this rock island. Dan got
a few good hits on submerged
rock along this outcrop. |
 |
Jeb caught this largemouth while we were doing
a slow troll in the middle
of the channel The lure was a Bomber fire-tiger crankbait. |
 |
Both boats got our share of small fish and
plenty of nibbles, but the big fish
alluded us today. Going back to the launch
at sundown this boat passed us by, which had two mascots onboard. The WSSC
police were waiting and were
anxious to get home to watch the Ravens beat the
Chargers 31
to 26,
the Redskins won too beating the Rams 9 to 7. |
