National Rifle Association Presidents Reception

FOX News Military Analyst Oliver North, NRA President John Sigler, and two-time
Howard County 4-H Gun Club President Mark Burchick pose for a photo.
 
Mark Burchick and his Father were personal guests of John Sigler for his reception, in which
several persons, including Mark were recognized for special merit regarding our second-amendments rights, legislation, valor (Wounded Warrior Program), Olympians and leadership regarding the responsible and recreational use of firearms (Youth Shooting Sports Programs).
 
Mark and John shot together during the Grand National Waterfowl Hunt on the Maryland Eastern
Shore, held this past November.  Mark was honored as being selected as the "model" for the 4-H
Youth Shooting Sports program beating out many other applications, and primarily based on his
academic grades and leadership within 4-H youth shooting sports.
 
After meeting Mark through the course of a three-day waterfowl hunting weekend,
Mr. Sigler asked if Mark would attend his reception, stating that he loved to "gush
over the quality, maturity and integrity of youth shooters and for their recreational enjoyment of the shooting sports and hunting." He went on to say that he is "quite optimistic about the future of shooting sports when he see's the caliber of young
men and woman who represent the responsible use of firearms." 


National Rifle Association Presidents Reception Mark just missed meeting Hugo Beretta, owner of Beretta Firearms
but was able to speak with William Graves, owner and lead instructor
of the GPS Defense Sniper School. He has 91 confirmed kills to his credit
and is recognized world-wide in military circles.

National Rifle Association Presidents Reception Mark had an opportunity to speak at length with Wayne LaPierre, CEO and vice-president of the National Rifle Association.  Mr. LaPierre was a gracious host along with Mr. Sigler, and we had a fantastic time visiting and listening to others.  The hor d'oeuvres were great!
