Here are some great fishing tips, stories, and photos. Covers spring '08..  Maryland region and more...

First Spring Casts at Loch Raven

FIRST '08 SPRING FISHING DAY at LOCH RAVEN

Mike and I had a chance to slip out and cast out...
nothing hitting yet, but it's getting ready to get HOT out there!

loch raven The water was still chilly, and not a fish was seen.  The birds had some luck, as always.  Of course, one snatched up something right in front of us.

(That's why I don't gamble or play the lottery).
The water levels are almost back to normal...if not there already.  The first thing we had noticed was that our normal spots were water-covered.  Good sign for spring!
baltimore county reservoir Mike scoped around for deep channels and spots...but they were hard to find from the shore where we were at.
MC3Maryland Fishing shrimp plastic baits from BTL  We took a bunch of the new MC3 plastics that were given to us by Bruce Adams, owner of BTL Baits, LLC  in Alabama.  These are incredible looking plastics.  Mike tried different rigs with them, and I stuck to the rigging styles recommended on the packs.  We are testing them now to see how they do around our favorite fishing spots.  Read more about them here.

Hopefully we can beat the birds during our next visit out there!
Best Fishes this Spring!!!!
