Delaware River
River use is permitted 24 hours a day,
year-round, unless closed due
to flooding, ice floes or other
hazardous conditions.
Public river accesses
closed 10 PM to 5 AM.
Most private
boat rental companies
and
campgrounds are
open mid-April
through October.
Fishing Licenses
A valid New York or Pennsylvania fishing license
is required for all anglers, age 16 and older, on
the Delaware River between NY and PA when
fishing from a boat or from either shore.
New Jersey licenses are not valid on the river between New York and
Pennsylvania. Be sure
to obtain a summary book of laws and regulations with your license. Refer to the
boundary/border waters section and follow the regulations for size, creel limit,
and open season. An angler may use
a maximum of two lines. Trout stamps are required with a PA license to
take, kill, or possess any

Tips/Hints on Locations
Zane Gray House Access

Location: Lackawaxen River meets the
Delaware River. Find Walleye by Trolling lampers or bottom fish.
Try using a Night walker with lindy spinner rig.
Yardley, PA
- Location: Black Rock Road canal. Park in lot on the right.
Go down to the first bench, anything past there is where you want to fish.
Pickerel can be found all along this area.
Washington Crossing Area
- Location: 2 miles above the Scudders Falls Wing Dam. Public boat ramp is
Yardley ramp below the dam. Fish the flats just north of overpass.
Trenton NJ
- Get those smallies! You have to get way up in there on the
last 2 hours of out going tide. Head below the turnpike bridge. Very rocky.
You have to know your boat and the water. No beginners here.
Treasure Island - Try wading for
smallmouth bass, and some catfish.
Once the water level comes down in the early summer, try using any live
bail or small jig heads with a grub.

Ice Fishing:
All of the 1,275-acre Lake Marburg
is open for ice fishing (accept for the ice skating area). You can
catch yellow perch, bluegill, northern pike,
crappie, largemouth bass, catfish, muskellunge and tiger muskellunge when
ice fishing here.

Camping:
Consider camping at this great PA state park.
Campground opens
the second Friday in April, and closed the third Sunday in October.
You'll find approximately 190 campsites that are suitable for tents or
recreational vehicles up to 50 feet in length. Several campsites have
electric hookups. Seven campsites with electricity can accommodate
people with disabilities. There are fifteen rustic sites that are available
for tents only. You'll find hot showers, flush toilets and a sanitary dump
stations available. Bring your pet, since they are allowed.

The maximum stay in the
campground
is 14 consecutive nights, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Make note - all
camping equipment must be removed from the park for 48 hours before returning.
