"Black Hill Regional Park, Little Seneca Lake, with it's 505-acres of open water, and 15.7-miles of shoreline"

I had a meeting last week at the Park, related to a nine-month construction project I am involved with. The park superintendent
introduced me to his fisheries biologist (Glenn), and he created a sketch map for me, which I then added the notes to an aerial.
The lake has large and smallmouth bass, tiger muskie, bluegill & crappie.  Glenn says the lake is under-utilized and that the
fishing is good.
The yellow highlights are his favorite fishing holes. Lots of standing timber and lots of hydrilla grass beds.

The best way to get to the lake is take 1-270 to exit-16, Father Hurley Blvd/Ridge Road, going east. Drive on Ridge Road and
take a left onto Frederick Road (Rte. 355), going north.  Take a left onto West Old Baltimore Road, go a few miles, pass under
I-270, and take a left hand turn into the MNCPPC, Black Hill Park. Follow the signs to the boat ramp (no gas engines allowed).

Happy Fishing! - Mark Burchick  8/26/06
