Mark Jascewsky took me fishing late this
afternoon
to one of his favorite haunts, Rocky Gorge Reservoir. |
 |
An expert fisherman, the kingfisher takes a
brief rest
on a branch overhanging the water. We watched as
the bird skimmed
over the water and took a sizable
minnow from the lake surface. |
 |
Between Mark and I we caught a largemouth bass,
white perch, black crappie, bluegill and catfish.
Fishing over a submerged rock
outcrop, Mark lands
a big fish that took a good while just to determine
what he
hooked in to. |
 |
After a few minute tussle on a medium action
rod
Mark landed a hefty catfish. |
 |
A red fox watches from the bank hoping to find
a
fish dinner while foraging
along the shoreline. |
 |
Mark was aware of a rocky point with a good
fishing
hole about 30-feet out
from the bank. Sure enough
after a few casts with his pig & jig he landed a
largemouth at sunset.
|
 |
A beautiful sunset and back to the boat launch
before WSSC
locks us in.
A great way to spend the afternoon.
Thank you Mark for showing me the
many fish holding
structures and holes that you have learned over the years. |
