Saturday Fishing In The Rain
Howard County, MD
What a crappie day! It's
raining off and on,
cloudy and cold, but
when you gotta fish, you
gotta fish. Mark and I
both hooked into
largemouth bass at the
same time using the same
lure, the 5-inch blue
and black laminate
Senko.
We fished for about
an hour and half and
caught eight
largemouth on the
day, between
showers. Dozens of
flocks of geese flew
over the treetops
cranking for a
landing, but when
they saw us, they
always broke-off
their descent and
kept on flying. Two
kingfishers hunted
the pond while we
fished.
Jeb and Mark caught
bass at the same
time, both using
green pumpkin
Senko's . . .
. . . and a little
bit later Jeb landed
a big one.
A few pickerelweed
were still in bloom
along the shoreline.
I'd say that
many-flowered aster
was the dominant
flower in bloom . .
.
