FISHING McKELDIN PARK
in COLUMBIA, MD

sucker fish

Nice day at McKeldin Park.  My friend Lazarus (we met at the beach area) pulled in a beautiful rainbow trout and a nice sized sucker fish,  both in less than 15 minutes using my finest Browning gear.

I tried to learn how to catch these fish but obviously need more practice.

FISHING McKELDIN PARK

Wonderful day with the family.

I'll be back here many times.

It's a wonderful 30-40 ft.wide river with some very deep spots and
you hike down with ultra-light gear spotting fish along the way.

I saw a very large Carp being pulled out of a deep spot as we were heading home.
