MATTAWOMAN FISHING
Maryland

Mark and I went fishing today and we were in the turn-around flight path of some
of the Andrews Air Force Base, Air Show air traffic.
Just above the tree line between the bass and my face are three A-10 Warthog
Tank Killers.
Mark was hot, catching 12 bass on the day, to my eight.  Mark caught most all
of his fish using the Reaction Innovation Sweet Beaver (a bog ol' chunk of soft
plastic with a beaver looking tail).
With water dripping off of Mark's face, this bass did not want to get lipped and
have an out-of-pond experience.
This four-pounder was the big fish of the day, and was caught on a green
pumpkin colored Sweet Beaver.
It's backwards, but the skywriting plane sent out puffed clouds that read "Andrews AFB Air Show Sat."  It was fairly early in the morning, so I think this pilot was testing.  The words "Air Show Sat" show up well in the photo.
I used 5-inch Senko worms, and Senko Kreature baits, both of which worked well (with Mega-Strike attractant).  Spinnerbaits, my Xcaliber Jimmy XJ4 (floating stick bait) and Rapala X-Rap (shallow crankbait) were all non-productive, jigs did not
catch anything either.
