Twenty-five persons attended this evenings 4-H Gun Club meeting, which was held at the Heart of Maryland Bowhunters Archery Range, the home range of our archery program.
	An outstanding facility, complete with a forested 3-D range trail.
	Prior to the meeting several club members got in some shooting time, with a good few members being exposed to archery for the first time, and I'm sure, not their last!

After a brief meeting in the pavilion, Mr. Mark Burchick provided the Club with a natural history
field lesson of the Archery grounds.  Where do most of our nuisance, invasive plant species come from? 
Is a wood thrush a forest interior dwelling bird species and indicator of forest quality/health?  
Is it a migratory bird? 
If so where does it overwinter?
